The Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Pharmacy (Thuan An Town, Binh Duong Province) is a large (over 2000 m2) museum in southern vietnamese architectural style. It is located in front of the Fito Pharma factory on the 13th highway - this is just about 30 minutes by car from the HCM city center. There is a parking lot for cars and buses.
The Reception room is located near the museum doors. This is where the museum tour starts and finishes. The tour is about 90 minutes long and starting from a visiting of the museum, then you visit the Fitô Pharma factory.
The museum consists of 14 rooms dedicated to the traditional vietnamese pharmacy.
1st Floor

Room 1: A Medicinal Plants in Vietnam
There are nearly 600 paintings of medicinal plants in this room. This is just a part of the 1000 pcs colletion of hand-painted herbs images.
There is also the cinema room with 100 seats. Here visitors could watch the 25 minutes long documentary film about the traditional medicine in Vietnam (in Vietnamese, English, French and Russian).

Room 2: The History of Vietnamese Traditional Medicine
An exhibition of documents, photographs and artifacts related to the traditional medicine through the ages (eras of Hung Kings, Northern Kingdom, Ly Tran, Hau Le, Nguyen and a modern time).

Room 3: The Traditional Pharmacy
There is an exposition in vietnamese wooden houses architectural style related to the traditional medicine. There are the collection of different herbs and ingredients, the pulse table and a portraits of traditional medicine's founders. Also you could see a several traditional drug forms.

Room 4: The Royal Medicinal Academy
There you could see a gilded splendor of the vietnamese royal medicinal academy. The gallery of documents and artifacts related to the academy, the place of a vietnamese imperal family's health care.

Room 5: The Medicinal Plants Shop
This is the room in a thatched cottages style with the collection of raw and semi-processed medicinal ingredients which were common in a countryside of vietnamese people and ethnic minorities in Vietnam.

Room 6: A Recipies
An exhibition of the 48 favorite remedies in Vietnam invented by the great physician Hải Thượng Lãn Ông Lê Hữu Trác.
Also there are a 24 displays with teapots, wine bottles, pots dating from BC to the early XX century.

Room 7: A Herbal Elixirs
In this room is a presentation of an ancient wine jars and a jars of wine with a famous oriental traditional drugs. From the windows of this rooms you could see a garden with a pots dug in ground - the traditional manner of wine's making in Vietnam.

Room 8: The Traditional Vietnamese Medicine
A gallery of documents and artifacts related to the history of traditional medicine in Vietnam. Also there are presented lifestories and works of the famous physicians of Vietnam.

Room 9: The Chinese, Korean & Japanese Traditional Medicine
A gallery of documents and artifacts related to the history of traditional medicine in China, Korea and Japan. Also there are presented lifestories and works of the famous physicians of these 3 counties.

Room 10: A Drug Manufacturing
A showcase of production methods and forms in the traditional medicine. Visitors could experience how to make drugs by the unique vietnamese forming method called "shake a basket" and by many others.

Room 11: A Tools for Drug Manufacturing
A showcases with traditional apothecary instruments. Here visitors could experience a cutting, a pounding, a grinding of raw ingredients by a traditional instruments such as knives, boat mortars, stone mortars & etc.

Room 12: A Medicinal Ingredients
A description of most commonly used forms in the oriental medicine. In the 9 displays exhibited a 300 medicinal plants commonly used in Vietnam.

Room 13: The Fitô Pharmacy
The Pharmacy with drug products produced by the Fitô Pharma factory. It also offers free treatment with the physician in charge of the company.

Room 14: The Introduction of the Fitô Pharma Factory
Along the corridor is an introductory information board about the formation and development of the brand Fitô.

Room 15: The Fitô Pharma Factory
There are introduction to the the production line of pharmaceutical factory Fitô Pharma.
You could see firsthand the actual GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certified production of a herbal drugs (the factory tour is available only for groups of at least 10 people. Advance booking is required).

We are open every Saturday from 8:00 AM till 5:00 PM
Adults: 120,000 VND.
Children (less than 1.2 m): 60,000 VND.
