Đây là viên thuốc dạng “đĩnh” – một dạng thuốc YHCT trước đây hay dùng. Đĩnh là thuốc gồm các vị thuốc tán nhỏ, luyện với một chất dính rồi chế thành thỏi, mài với nước mà uống khi cần thiết. Tên đĩnh là vì viên thuốc trông giống như đĩnh bạc, thỏi vàng ngày xưa dùng chi tiêu thay tiền.

Trên viên thuốc có ghi tên bằng chữ Hán Nôm. Được sưu tầm ở miền Bắc Việt Nam, rất hiếm còn sót lại đến bây giờ.

This is a bar-shaped pill – a form of traditional medicine used in ancient times. Bar pill is made of ground herbs, mixed with a sticky substance and shaped into bars, and grind in water to drink when needed. The pill is named after its resemblance to a silver or gold bar, which was used as money in ancient times.

The name of the pill is written on its surface in Han-Nom characters. It was collected in Northern Vietnam and there are very few bar pills left today.
